LEGO 21327 Typewriter is an Ideas set released in 2021, containing 2079 pieces. It is based on the fan design by Steve Guinness and was inspired by the classic typewriter used by LEGO founder Ole Kirk Kristiansen. The model incorporates functional mechanics including a brick-built center typebar that rises when a key is pressed, a carriage that moves, and a platen roller that can accept real paper. VIP members received early access on June 16, 2021 ahead of the July 1 release, and the instructions include a letter from Thomas Kirk Kristiansen of the owner family.

Used sets are shipped assembled. Some minor disassembly may be required for packing. Each set will be packed as carefully as possible, but it is virtually guaranteed that additional disassembly will occur during shipping.
